Wisconsin’s game at Nebraska today was canceled due to a COVID-19 outbreak within the program. Cases continue to climb, and athletics director Barry Alvarez revealed the latest update in a one-on-one interview with ESPN’s College GameDay.
“I just got a report this morning,” he said. “Today, we are at 10 staff and 12 players. A total of 22. We’re still having additions in our cases and that’s something we’ve got to get our arms around and control.”
This is an increase of six cases from yesterday’s update of 16 within the program/
With the Big Ten not having any room for make-up dates, games are simply canceled. After the road game at Nebraska was canceled, the attention immediately turned to next week’s game at Purdue. Alvarez was asked about that to start off the interview, and it sounds like we’ll have an answer by the early part of next week.
