KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Kentucky quarterback Terry Wilson helped make history when the Wildcats snapped a 31-game losing streak at Florida in 2018. In 2020, he put his name in the record book once again.
Wilson joined Derrick Ramsey as the only quarterbacks in the last 40-plus years to lead Kentucky to wins at Florida and at Tennessee. The Wildcats’ 17-game road losing streak to the Volunteers came to an end on Saturday as Kentucky routed Tennessee 34-7.
“It’s special,” Wilson said following the win. “It really is special. I know it means a lot to this state, to the University of Kentucky. I’m fortunate. I’m glad to be in this position, to be able to play SEC teams each week and have a chance to go down there and battle and give it our all. I’m just really fortunate. I know the team is really fortunate we have a chance to go prove ourselves each week.”
