Austin, Texas, has been buzzing since the Longhorns made a major move Jan. 2 by firing head coach Tom Herman after four seasons and hiring two-year Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian. Nearing three months since Sarkisian’s hire, the verified Texas football social media pages dropped a hype video that will have Longhorns fans ready for the 2021 season to kick off tomorrow.
In a 1:16 video that starts with a look at Julius Whittier’s statue and an unidentified person walking up to the AFCA National Championship Trophy from the 2006 BCS National Championship Game against USC, Sarkisian’s voice is heard.
“There was a lot of, ‘Noes,’ right?” Sarkisian said.
