The Georgia Bulldogs and South Carolina Gamecocks have a football rivalry dating back to 1894. The Dawgs and Gamecocks have met a total of 73 times in their history.

Georgia and South Carolina are both members of the SEC East. The rivalry perhaps hit its peak in the early 2000s to the mid 2010s. Former South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier really knows how to make Georgia fans’ blood boil.

The 74th edition of the Georgia versus South Carolina series will feature a unique story. Former South Carolina coach Will Muschamp is facing off against his former team in what will be an interesting reunion after South Carolina fired him near the end of last season.

The Georgia Bulldogs hold a 52-19-2 series edge over South Carolina. The two teams have met every season since 1992. The Gamecocks joined the SEC in 1992 after being independent for two decades.
