The Minnesota Vikings’ bumpy offseason is headed for a pothole. QB Kirk Cousins already received an extension, and they traded star receiver Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills. However, the most confusing ongoing story is free safety Anthony Harris’s status with the team.
He’s been franchise tagged and placed squarely on the trade block, but now the Vikings are apparently still trying to work out a deal with Harris.
ESPN reporter Josina Anderson claims a long-term contract is possible, but still not a certainty.
So basically, we still don’t know what’s going to happen. The Vikings are negotiating, but Harris still has “other factors” that could make him leave. Yawn.
