Of the four postponed games Michigan State will look to make up throughout the rest of the season, one now has a new date.
The Spartans will play Iowa on Tuesday, Feb. 2, the school announced. The game was originally set for Jan. 14 before COVID-19 cases at Michigan State forced a postponement.
In addition, the Spartans’ home game against Nebraska has been moved from Feb. 3 to Feb. 6, taking a date previously occupied by a Michigan-Michigan State matchup that’s been postponed by the department-wide shutdown at Michigan.
The schedule change will now make for three straight road games as Michigan State comes off of a 20-day break from games.
The Spartans are scheduled to play at Rutgers on Thursday, then at Ohio State on Sunday before its Iowa game. Both Ohio State and Iowa are ranked in the top 15 of this week’s Associated Press poll.
