Miami Dolphins’ Senior Bowl National Roster: Top 10 defensive players of interest


One of the best inside linebackers in the next NFL draft passed for more than 16,000 yards in high school and started seven games at quarterback at North Carolina.

It’s highly unusual for a player to transition from quarterback to linebacker, but that’s exactly what Chazz Surratt did — and the results were unimaginably impressive.

Surratt will play for a team coached by Dolphins coach Brian Flores at the Senior Bowl, with practices beginning Tuesday in Mobile, Alabama.

“If the Dolphins are looking for help at linebacker, the National team Coach Flo will have in Mobile is loaded with NFL starter-level talent, including late add Chazz Surratt, who was our staff’s highest rated senior LB for this year’s game,” said Jim Nagy, executive director of the Senior Bowl.
