Pleasant Grove (Ala.) wide receiver Christian Lewis (6-3, 190) committed to Kentucky in late June and the beginning of his 2020 season has been incredibly productive.
After tallying three touchdowns against Oxford (Ala.), Lewis hauled in two more touchdowns against Wenonah (Ala.) on senior night. His play has not gone unnoticed by 247Sports, who has upgraded the wide receiver from an 88 grade to a 90.
Lewis becomes the third Kentucky commitment with 4-star status at 247Sports. Lexington (Ky.) Frederick Douglass wide receiver Dekel Crowdus is still a 90. His teammate, offensive guard Jager Burton, is still rated a 94 and is considered the nation’s No. 59 prospect overall.
Lewis was commitment No. 12 for head coach Mark Stoops’ staff. He is one of four wide receivers committed to UK at this time. Inside linebackers coach Jon Sumrall served as the primary recruiter for the rising senior. Sumrall was a key reason for the Alabama native’s ultimate decision.
