Former Michigan defensive end Luiji Vilain has found a new college destination.
The 6-foot-4, 253-pound senior announced Tuesday via Instagram that he is committed to Wake Forest, where he will rejoin former Wolverines running back Christian Turner.
Turner and Vilain are two of the six Michigan players to transfer since its last game Nov. 27.
Vilain, who entered the transfer portal Jan. 17, was the No. 57 overall prospect in the 2017 class, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings, but battled injuries throughout his time in Ann Arbor. He played in 12 games as a reserve defensive lineman and finished his career with 11 tackles and one sack.
Vilain played 109 snaps on defense in 2020, per Pro Football Focus, and earned a below-average grade of 53.9.
